If You’re A Bird…
At dawn, I heard a bird. To this bird, I tried to speak. I did not have any feathers. I did not have a beak. I stood and tried to tell her. With a high-pitched whistle song. Your nest is safe with us here. But I must have whistled wrong. Instead of getting cozy, In her nest she built so well. She flew away in an instant. Her chirps became a yell. How can I tell this robin, Her offspring is safe with me? Until I find the answer, She will watch from the willow tree.
