Sky Love You

I’m thinking of embarking upon

A love affair with the sky

The constellations won’t ever leave me

The clouds will never make me cry


The heavens glow each morning

With brand new artwork, just for me

The pink and orange vista

Gleams beyond the willow tree


At night, before the darkness comes 

The sky will blaze once more

This time, with purple hazy streaks 

The setting sun tries to settle the score


And just when the pitch black sparks 

A forlorn feeling in my chest

The stars begin to twinkle

And they set my heart to rest
